Welcome to the diaper of all diapers—LOL. At barely two weeks old our son received a life-saving surgery that created a way for his urine to escape his body as his urethra was almost completely blocked. This surgery placed two “ostomies” or holes in his lower abdomen. Specifically, he has a vesicostomy (bladder to surface) and ureterostomy (ureter to surface). He is constantly leaking urine from these holes! This made a whole slew of challenges for us—the biggest being we could not keep him dry!
